El Poblado - Vizcaya Neighborhood: Close to Parque Lleras which is located at the center of the Zona Rosa. Click here to check out all the restaurants in the Zona Rosa. The Vizcaya niehgborhood is located on the edge of the Zona Rosa is the center of the dinning and entertainment district in any Colombian City. In Medellin you will find more than 60 restaurants in and around Parque Lleras. Many of the restaurants are restaurant-bars as well. This is a very secure neighborhood, where you will see plenty of foreigners, tourists, and of course local Colombianos people watching and enjoying the open air sidewalk-side restaurants.

This apartment is located in the Vizcaya neighborhood located off of Calle 10 and just below Transversal Inferior. Inside the Vizcaya Mall you will find the popular Body Tech Gym, and movie theater Cine Colombia. Just don't walk buy the El Corral Hamburgers fast food joint in front of the mall, and get a wiff of the hamburgers or you may not make it to your workout! This apartment is walking distance to restaurants, bars, gym, grocery stores, movie theater, ATM, banks, beauty salon, pharmacies.

Just a few blocks down Calle 10 from the Vizcaya mall are a couple places in the Zona Rosa now that have American Sports live on TV now. Brian at Tiger Paw hostel has several direct TV dishes, and also brings in a live TV signal from the USA via internet for big games on the big screen in the hostels sports bar! Tigerpaw is definately on the luxury side of hostels! Next to the Tiger Paw is a great place to get a hair cut for just 7,500 pesos, great italian pizza, and the affordable restaurant Crepes and Waffles. If your in the Zona Rosa everything is with in walking distance.

El Poblado Parks: Parque Lleras and Parque Poblado often have free concerts during vacation months, and certain holidays. The park centers, and bars always fill up for big soccer games. The local teams are Nacional (Verde) and Medellin (Rojo) and most often play Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Passing by El Poblado Park on Sundays and Holidays is the Medellin Ciclovia which runs down Avenida del Poblado. 1/2 the road is closed to joggers, roller bladers, walkers and bicyclists.
